Padreg Jageillon is the pseudonym for composer/performer Patrick Yagiela. A private instructor, performer and freelance luthier, he is an advocate of new music and continues to bring these experiences to larger audiences.
Interested in the relationship between concert music and vernacular music, his compositions reflect these interests and try to highlight certain specific socio-cultural mores within the music community.
As for his role on Square Root Records, he is the resident musicologist and voice of stodginess and philosophical ideals for the label.
