I Pagan Wind si formano a inizi ottobre 2008 con l'intento di creare un progetto folk metal non andato a buon fine.
Bifrost il cantante,e Sambo il bassista,incontrarono Bario un chitarrista che allettato dalla proposta di cambiare genere e fare un gruppo Viking-Death accettò e si misero alla ricerca di un batterista.
Verso fine ottobre trovarono Diego, una vecchia conoscenze di Bifrost ed essendo privo di gruppi e conoscendo tutti i componenti decise di unirsi anche lui.Nel gennaio 2009 decierò di cercare un secondo chitarrista per avere un suono più "completo", e alla chiamata rispose Masso, amico anche lui di Bifrost, che si trovò subito bene all'interno gruppo. Con Masse si completò cosi la line up dei Pagan Wind e si creò immediatamente una grande intesa e armonia fra tutti i componenti del gruppo!

Bifrost the singer and Sambo the bassist met Bario, a guitarist,who was attracted by the proposal of changing kind of music and from a band
"Viking Death".
So they started looking for a drummer. At the end of October they found Diego,an old friend of Bifrost.Since he wasn't playing in any group,and he had already known all the members of the group he decided to join them.
January 2009 they decided to look for a second guitarist to get a more complete sound and Masso,another Bifrost's old friends,joined them.
that was what they were looking for! With Masso their group was complete,and great understanding and harmony was reached between all the member of the group.
