omfg?! is there really only 2 of you? lyke...why is thatz?
yes, it's just us :) basically, back in the day we worked with different lineups for the band, but making this happen takes a ton of work and a lot of dedication with sometimes very little reward, and some guys just couldn't handle it or realized they didn't wanna tour for the rest of their lives. so after a few lineup changes, we decided to keep it just us two. But, we have a great group of guys who are our live band when we go out on tour, so you guys always get to hear the music as it was meant to be heard :)
so, like, how did you, like, find my profile?
oh well, it's very simple! we have a special team of psychic zombies who gather all the kids' myspaces who might like our music and send them requests (they do it over the interweb, so they don't have the urge to eat anyone's brain). also, the zombies have bazookas that shoot out chainsaws that explode. why? any zombie momma will always tell you to always be prepared.
I really love you guys. How can I help get your name out there?
easy! just:
a) put one of our songs on your page
b) look under our "promote" section on our page and put our banner on your page or post a bulletin about us by copying and pasting our bulletin code.
or c) make your display name say:
[SOOPA FINE] (your name) [9]
So, like, WTF does "Page 9" like mean, anyway? lyke, how did you get your name??
Well, back when we first started the band, the boys and I were sitting around at a local Chili's. Right as we got our food, our original drummer, Kris, who's catholic decided he wanted to bless the food. So, we were like, "Aight." Kris then decided to pull out his book of prayers since he apparently didn't have them memorized. After about 3 painstakingly long minutes of our delicious food staring back at us while awaiting what better have been the best blessing our ears had ever beheld, he finally blurted out, "oh! here it is! on page 9". I then made the comment, "OK, can we just name the band that, so we never run into this problem again?"
and that's basically it. So we always say it's kind of an ode to the fact that we love food & Jesus =]
Where are you from?
Dallas, TX.
How old are you guys?
Josh is 21, Lindan is 20. yup.
Do you guys like really wear cowboy hats and ride your horses around in Texas??
No, but sometimes Lindan gets bored, so maybe.
So, are you guys like, gonna get like, signed or whatevs?
yep, that's the plan =]
Do you guys, like, only play shows in Dallas? I mean how lame is that cause I think it'd be great if you came to (insert your city here)? One time, my cousin came here and we went to the movies and watched one tree hill all night and it was really fun. OMFG, did you see this week's one tree hill?? Lucas is so effing hawt.
we're a touring band, so we'll be coming all over! So, whereever you live, we'll be sure to hit up very soon, you just have to be patient and be sure to tell all your friends about us =]
So, like, where can I get your CD?
on iTunes =] and you can order the physical CD on smartpunk.com!
just click these links >> iTunes or smartpunk
OMFG, so lyke, how long have you guys been a band???
well, the band started out about 4 years ago with an entirely different lineup, except for Josh Roa-Martinez, who is the only original member. So after a few years and some sound and lineup changes, we got the the tight-knit group we are today.
So, like, how did all you hawt guys, like, meet.....n junk??
well, we really all met through being in the band together; Josh originally met Lindan through the myspace classifieds when the band was in search of a new bassist about 2 1/2 years ago and because of the band, they've been great friends ever since.
In a scene overflowing with the same sound, Texas-based duo: Page 9 are opening eyes, turning heads and filling ears across the country. Armed with a unique and breath-takingly refreshing sound, it's no wonder why Page 9 has found themselves onstage beside national acts such as: Mae, Thursday, Thee Armada, The Secret Handshake, Nevershoutnever!, Forgive Durden and Hit The Lights, just to name a few.
With plans to take things to the next level with the release of their upcoming EP, the band has enlisted the help of up and coming producer Bryan David to bring out the shimmer and shine of the band's notoriously energetic live shows on the new record.
A long-time staple in the Dallas scene, Page 9 legitimized their ascent on the national scene by climbing up as far as the 10 TOP unsigned band on purevolume.com and last year's self-released LP, "Addiction in Recovery" making it up as high as 38 in the top 100 on smartpunk.com and 16 on their unsigned best seller chart.
With extensive tour plans and in the midst of what is shaping up to be a defining album, Page 9 continues to be a force to be reckoned with.
