Page Nye Hamilton (born May 18, 1960 in Portland, Oregon) is a singer, guitarist and record producer, mostly noted for his work with alternative metal band Helmet. Most of his work has been in the heavy metal or hard rock styles, but Hamilton has an experimentalist streak, and has worked in other genres.
Raised in Medford, Oregon, Hamilton moved to New York to study jazz guitar. While there, he "discovered distortion" and joined Band of Susans. Hamilton worked with composer Glenn Branca, after which he started Helmet.
Helmet's albums at that time included Strap It On, Meantime, Betty, and Aftertaste.
After Helmet split up in 1999, Hamilton started Gandhi, and toured with David Bowie. About this time he recorded with Ben Neill.
He recorded Zulutime (duets with Caspar Brötzmann), played guitar on Ben Neill's Goldbug and Joe Henry's Trampoline, and wrote some music for the movie Heat. Hamilton has also made appearances on "Unbeliever" by Therapy? and "No, You Don't" by Nine Inch Nails.
Hamilton restarted Helmet with an altered line-up in 2004, and they released the album Size Matters. Helmet released their latest album, Monochrome, on 18 July, 2006.
Hamilton has also done production work, including producing "Distort Yourself" by Institute, the new band started by Gavin Rossdale of Bush. Hamilton was also at the helm for Bullets and Octane's second album, In The Mouth Of The Young, released in 2006, and has produced Totimoshi and the upcoming Classic Case album Losing at Life due out early 2007.

I will be following your fine art project with great interest, as I'm always intrigued by the "artist within the artist" when revealed. And speak of revelations: I'm still unable to recall the name of the other concierge at the old "Clinton Arms", who created all those spectacular wall murals for the "mole people" living in the then decommissioned Metro North railroad tunnels. LOL I only wish I knew about it at the time and got to photograph it before the NY Times got to it.
I just wanted to say thank you for all of the years of Helmet! I have been a fan since I heard you on The Crow Soundtrack. You helped inspire me to join a band and start singing. I can't wait for the next album. Keep up the great work!
Banda!!
Zacatecas pal conejo!!
Hey Page ...Please put "Tranquilized " in new Helmet album , that would be great heavy guitars in the chorus plus some violin oh man I can hear it in my mind :) It's really good song I remember that evening in Stamford when You were playing tranquilized with Anthony ....it sounded so good
Since you helped us get flown to Portland I thought I would try and get the fruits of our recording efforts to you to hear. We recorded a 6 song EP with Steve Holt from 36 Crazyfists and its sounds tasty.
