Pagoda Cultural Club is based in Liverpool, Pagoda Chinese Community Centre. Our aims is to introduce Chinese cultural to a wider audiences. Over its 24-year history, over 200 young people between the ages of 4 and 18 have learned to play Chinese musical instruments. Orchestra members included 'BBC', (British born Chinese), English, Caribbean, children recently arrived from China, Laos, Vietnam, and Malaysia. We are the first and largest Chinese youth orchestra in Europe.
We had many students come to the centre to learn Tai Chi, some have been with us for over 25 years.

This Summer holiday, we will be running summer scheme for the youngsters; Anyone between 8 - 17 are welcome. Programme include: 'Mystique of the Dragon'
Sessions will include various taste of Chinese Culture - Music, Dance, Opera Mask, Paper Cutting, Legends, taste different Chinese fruit and food.
Learn how the 'Dragon' become the icon for China.
If you want to learn to play a Chinese musical instrument, dance or anything about Chinese Culture, come to join us on Tuesday - Thursday 10 - 3pm. Saturday 10 - 3pm and Sunday 12-4pm.
New Taichi classes will start on 16th September 2009; 7pm - 8.30pm all age group are welcome

Hiya! Think we probably will go. We haven't been to the Pagoda for ages because Kat's work now means she doesn't get home until late. We'd love to come and support the orchestra/pagoda though- if we can. Hopefully see you there ;o)
