P.A. Groove started making music in the 80's taking organ lessons. When computers came into his life in 1995 he began experimenting with various programs to make music. Although he never used so called 'trackers', which where very popular at that time with the Amiga people, he used these same sounds in his sequencer on the PC. Slowly he began to expand his little music system.
In 1999 he gigged at a little party when someone spontaneously presented him with the name P.A. Groove. Since this day he used this artist name for his productions.
It wasn't until 2001 when someone spotted his music. When a friend took him to a record store where he met Maarten van Oosten (co owner of Gesture).
Quote of Jeroen: "My music style can be captured as techy, trancy housebeats but with my own personal feeling. I like sound design a lot so thats where I want to increase my skills." Besides producing house grooves P.A. Groove also makes drum&bass and popmusic.
During the years 2002- 2006 P.A. Groove has released several remixes for artists like Misha Helsloot, Ozgur Can, and LNQ.
His his track "Morning dive" was included to the 'Capital' CD compilation which was compiled for a big event in 2002 in den Haag. In 2003 Jeroen remixed the track "First Second" by Misja Helsloot which was released together with a Signum remix. The best received remix was his 2004 remix of the track Tangerine from the well known progressive DJ and producer Özgür Can
In 2004 P.A. Groove - Path Finder was featured on the 2-CD: Back From your past- mixed by Misja Helsloot. This track was offered later as a digital download:
In 2005 P.A. Groove remixed People I used to know from the artist - Joni Ljungqvist also known as LNQ. In 2006 his releases went digital only. In 2007
he did some unreleased projects with other artist like Joost Van der Vleuten.
From 2008 P.A. Groove operates as an independent artist. Anyone who is interested in releasing some unsigned tracks or is looking for a soundtrack can drop an E-mail to www.pagroove@chello.nl
On 15 February 2009 a co-production between him and Dutch Trance/Progressive-artist Joost van de Vleuten aka Namatjira is coming out on No Smoking Recordings and will be distributed via Beatport.com. So get it there:)
