When I was a little girl I didnt dream of fairy tales, castles in the sky, or even a knight in shining armor. I was more at home with baseball cards and soccer. But the minute I discovered books I found more than fairy tales, I found worlds to explore, villains to vanquish, and heroes to admire. I started on a healthy diet of fantasy novels, from JRR Tolkien to Piers Anthony, upgraded to the literary novels of our time, devouring Bronte, Twain, Dickens, and the like. Books went to the wayside in college and after starting a family, but I would always grab one to read when I got a chance. It wasnt until two short years ago that I really got back to reading and discovered the joys of erotica.
Why am I going on about reading when you want to know about my writing? To tell you this, I broke the mold. Im a reader first and foremost. It was not a lifelong goal to become an author; it wasnt even a late in life goal. Writing sort of fell into my lap, but once I got hold of it, I realized this, me and writing, was meant to be.
Now, Im writing those fairy tales I never had, building my own castles in the sky, and creating knights that even though theyre in armor, make you wonder what is or isnt underneath it.
