Sounds Like
A thrashing juggernaut of death. You could always come to a show to find out.
In the midst of the pseudo-hardcore/metal explosion in Columbus, Ohio, Pain Awaiting rose above all with their own brand of heavy metal. Formed in February of 2005 by brothers Sam (drums) and Nick Kahler (lead guitar), along with Robby Brock (rhythm guitar), Nick Shay (fill in for bass), and Eric Stump (vocals) the band set out to bring metal back to the front lines of the local music scene.
Over time, Pain Awaiting went through some changes internally and musically. The first change came with Chris Shine becoming the full time bassist of the band. Chris brought his heavy Black Sabbath influence to the band, adding a new dimension to the songs on the low end. Next came the departure of Robby Brock, and the addition of Bobby Walker on guitar. Bobby had spent some time in the Blackened Death/Doom band, Remains of Eden (RIP), before joining up with Pain Awaiting. The last, and hopefully final change, came with Eric Stump being let go from the band. After many auditions, it seemed that the band would never find a replacement suitable enough to fit our music. Then one day along came James Brooks, an unknown amongst the metal scene. His first audition was shakey, but the guys knew that he had it in him and invited him back for a second audition. Since his second audition, the band knew they had found their fit.
Each member of Pain Awaiting draws influences from a very wide and broad spectrum of music ranging from Jazz, Thrash Metal, Death Metal, Grindcore, Traditional Heavy Metal, Classical, and 80's Rock. With everyone pulling their influences together, Pain Awaiting creates a style of metal that still holds true to the forefathers of metal, but also creates a sound that will stay strong and true for many years to come.

My new 3 album box set ODESSA delves into the disgusting involvement the United States government had in hiding Nazi war criminals that were deemed, "intelligence assets", to be used against the Russians. ODESSA also examines the enthusiastic role the Franciscan Order, Argentinian and Chilean Governments, and Arab leaders who hated the Jews played in hiding and finding new homes for former fascists. It seems many nations had a reason to keep these monsters from being captured, and this is my attempt to expose the establishment of a Fourth Reich in South America that still exists to this day.
