Everything I listen to is an influence, so is everything I watch and read and experience. Though my biggest influence is Barenaked Ladies. They are the reason I got into music (so blame them) and they are the greatest band of all time.
Sounds Like
One of the voices in Transfer To and the singer from The Plaid Verbs. Maybe you should check out those bands too, hint hint.
You can find more of my songs on my purevolume page.
A founding member of Transfer To, The Plaid Verbs, and other even less successful band attempts, I just couldn't get enough of making music. So I started writing my own solo stuff, and I performed mostly at school Coffee Houses and occasionally at a local open mic night. I recorded an album worth of songs in 2006 and 2007 and released it early 2007 for sale only by ordering it online (or knowing me personally). I will try to figure out a more accessible way of getting it out there eventually. In the meantime, I have written and recorded a handful of new songs, that are more acoustic, generally, and I have decided to compile them into a smaller "album", though it is not available for sale at this point. They are just songs I recorded on my laptop in my bedroom anyway, so I will let you just download them (because they aren't worth anything). What I am really hoping to focus on soon is performing, so if anyone in the Guelph area likes what I do and would like me to play sometime, email me at paisley_music@hotmail.com.
Cheers.
Hi Paisaley - this is Mr.Kane just telling you to check out my latest band Modern Science. :) I know you're a fan so I thought you'd enjoy the recommendation.
i went to hillside this weekend, and it was crazy awesome! broken social scene was amazing, and hawksley workman was definitely my favourite. i wish we were playing there too, but there's always next year. =D
hey! we're not playing any shows anytime soon, no. but, we are adding vocals to loads of our songs, and recording for the next couple weeks! thanks for asking :) hows summer been treating you?
Hi there Paisley MacLeod first of all we'd like to say thanks for being our myspace pal. We wanted to make sure you knew the reason incase we suddenly vanish off of your friends list. The movement we've started for indie artists has grown significantly and consumes all of our time these days. We seldom sign into our myspace account and this is making several people believe that we are ignoring them. We are not ignoring anyone, we wanted everyone to know that. What we're doing has become so busy we just don't have the time for myspace any longer, so in all honesty we are probably going to just close our myspace account.
Many people wanted to use us in the future so if you were one of those people make sure you bookmark the link below so that in the event that we do close our myspace account you won't loose contact with us. I wish you the best of luck in your music career. Thanks again for being our myspace pal.
the concert was good!! to start, there were some crap parts. like for one, the merch was WAY over priced. equivalent of $23 for a fucking cd, and $35 for a shirt. just NOT RIGHT. then on top of that, it got pretty violent in the mosh pit, and even had a fight break out beside me. luckily they weren't fighting properly lol. but yeah, just all sorts of jerks there, and WAY too crammed the entire time so made it less enjoyable.
On the other hand, they played a fair few from Watch Out, including Happiness by the Kilowatt and Control, so i was pleased about that. It was defo a good show. Oh, and I discovered I don't like Comeback Kid lol.
As for the video remind me again to watch it, cause there's something up with my speakers right now.
