Formed during the late spring of 2002, this foursome has been banging out its’ own flavor of straight-at-ya modern rock that has been enthusiastically received by audiences from 15 to 40 throughout the Midwest.
As quoted by the Emergenza Festival, “Paisty Jenny delivers arena rock with a modern rock edge.”
Having been chosen as the youngest person in history to be inducted into the Nebraska Rock N Roll Hall of Fame in 2009, primary songwriter Gregg Lee’s vocals contain a very unique and marketable timbre without being over-produced. He punches out a clean yet emotional growl, and a sometimes factious look at life.
Paisty Jenny released their third work “Spilling Mercury” on March 7, 2009; a 16-song CD and their best effort to date.
One song called "Bigger Man" is a cry for change, written the day following the horrific shootings at Von Maur in Omaha. It also pays tribute to those lost at Columbine and Virginia Tech.
Paisty Jenny’s (PJ) debut EP “DETOURS” was released September 2004 and SOLD OUT astonishly fast.
Their next release was a full-length disc titled "DETOURS-RED". It completed the package with 3 additional tracks and two videos. One track, "Monday Monday" was produced at the request of CBS television and bangs out a salute to the Momas and Papas 1967 original. Plus the disc contains the crowd anthem "Primadonna" while the video features the popular adult internet star Melissa Midwest.
The Paisty show contains array of originals that sweep the audience back and forth through an emotional frenzy. Lee is often seen leaping on bars and tables splashing sweat on the crowd. From arena size stages the foursome captivates crowds with a larger-than-life expression.
According to Derric Miller at Hardrock Haven, “Paisty Jenny is a band we firmly believe needs to be heard. Gaining a reputation and being flirted with by various record labels, Paisty Jenny is a stage machine. Lead singer and guitarist Gregg Lee is the consummate showman, almost like he walked off the Sunset Strip instead of Huskerland.”
Paisty Jenny opens for numerous national acts at concerts and festivals. Some national acts Paisty Jenny has shared the stage with include: Bret Michaels; Brian Howe; Cinderella; Def Leppard; Firehouse; Foghat; Foreigner; Great White; Jackyl; Kory and the Fireflies; LA Guns; Loverboy; Ratt; Skid Row; Slaughter; Stephen Pearcy; Styx; Tesla; Vince Neil; and Warrant.
PJ was selected among 300 regional bands to play the second to last slot on the main stage at the Arrowhead Fan Fest, in Kansas City, MO in September of 2004 and a poll on the WB Network website in Des Moines, IA voted Paisty Jenny as the favorite band at the WATERSTOCK Rock Festival with 38% of the vote in 2004.
Paisty Jenny also had the opportunity to open the Rock Never Stops tour at Pershing Center in Lincoln, Nebraska on June 14, 2005.
Paisty Jenny is a band that never disappoints!
