About me:
ON the strength and shoulders of my radio mentors and representing all of the opinionated (and usually correct) flava of a native New Yorker, let the creativity flow! "Your Dee Jay in PJs..." purrs Unique Monique over the seamless segueway as the pulsating beat of the music throbs and the intensity builds towards another floor-filling cresendo! Ohh, La Laaa! The "Pajama Bar" is the name of my long standing "theatre of the mind" radio show which I have performed inside of several music formats from Dance (my favorite) to Top 40 and Today's R&B/Classic soul. If you like music and gourmet food, and nice fine wines we can vibe. All music,media, loyal REAL friends and poetry words have kept my heart young; exercise and moderation have kept me looking younger than most of my peers. I am pretty self-deprecating, and if you don't know what that means, stop reading right now. I love the ocean air and find the seashore amazingly inspirational and healing; veteran disc jockey in clubs and radio. I have done interviews for radio with jazz giants like Nancy Wilson and Freddie Hubbard, also Chaka Khan, Kool and The Gang, Bobby "Blue" Bland, Najee, Shannon, (the late) Ed Bradley, Claudja Barry, Jade Starling(Pretty Poison),(the late)disc jockey Eddie O'Jay and many more. (This will be a work in progress as I remember different inspirations...)Native New Yorker (the CITY that is). YOU who can help me get my book of memoirs, poetry and prose and a novel-in-one published, and compensate me for my freelance writing.
