Okay, kids!
The re-release of Don't Tell Her Everything and the release of Fit To Be Admired...well, they're complete!
You can get DTHE at this URL.
And you can get FTBA at this URL.
You can also listen to previews of every track. Anyway, back to the regular bio.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Palecurve originally started as an offshoot of the amateur net-based experimental band New Logic Theory, and eventually became a full-time project once things were worked out.
In 2001, my first album, Don't Tell Her Everything was released through Riffage.com and MP3.com, and succeeded in making an impact, as a good amount of copies were sold and the lead single off the album, "Loveless", became a radio hit it certain areas (especially Ohio) and was played on several stations - also leading to several radio interviews.
Following that, things became quiet, as I tried to write new songs for the next album - but in reality, this was just a period of growth, as all the experimenting I was doing in writing the new songs was giving me the experience I needed to write more professional-sounding material. In 2005 I wrote the first new Palecurve song in four years, "Dopesick", with the help of Rodrigo Llauro. This will be released on an upcoming EP. Dopesick's importance was that it helped to bridge the gap between the old synthy-sounding Palecurve and the new sound, the heavier guitar-based, electronic sound the band has taken on.
There are some major things in the works:
Next up is a teaser for the upcoming album - the Your Only Love Is Yourself EP. This EP will contain Dopesick, three unreleased songs, MDM, My Portrait In Ice and Five AM, as well as several remixes and two preview songs from Failure Of The Week.
Finally, the album that I've been putting everything into, Failure Of The Week. Obviously it's still in the production stage, and more info will be given out as soon as its available. My two musical guides, Mark H. and Addison, will be assisting, listening and helping throughout the process, and Mark and I will be producing the album. So look for it sometime in the end of 2006.
I'm always looking for places to play a live gig, or a band to open up for, or any open spot to play some of my music. If you can help out in that region, let me know.
Also, if there's anyone out there that'd like to remix tracks, or work together on a track, let me know! For instance, I'm looking for a female vocallist right now to record a few lines, and then possibly more for the FOTW album. So don't shy away. Please get in touch.
You can either send me a message here, or e-mail me at palecurve AT gmail.com. Thanks a lot for supporting the band over the years, and I hope that this year is the one where everything hits the big time. Please hope along with us.
Love & Rockets,
Pat B.
