A new Bee Gees, with overtones of Scissor Sisters coupled with 'Mika quirkiness', and a large measure of Chic riffs - with a variety and quality of material that even Abba would be proud of!
Paleday represents the best of Blue Eyed-Soul Brit Pop. For people of a certain age comparisons to legendary acts such as Haircut 100, Spandau Ballet, The Style Council & Level 42 come easy but only tell part of the story. Anthony, Stephen, Sam and company incorporate the best of what Disco had to offer, a musicianship and melodies that make those who were in their 20's in the 80's feel 20 again! Whereas popular remixers such as MotoBlanco, Soulseekerz and Illicit touch those sounds to beef up singles by today's brightest stars, Paleday's original productions as heard on their debut full length, "Love The Groove" reflect those sounds times 10! It's all about the Groove with bouncing baselines and touch drum tracks to make you groove and thoughtful lyrics to make you. On top of all of that are the melodies and harmonies not heard in dance music since before Hip Hop tried to perform genocide on our culture. Paleday picks up right where we left off and remind us that musicians can make people dance. Check out the video for their debut US single "Eurotramp." This is a video of a live performance! No back up CD here, no lip synching here, this is them live and throwing down like they were in the Midnight Special or In Concert! Now with all this said, don't think Paleday is afraid of a remix, as their debut single sports a couple of awesome straight up House mixes that will make the club punters throw their hands in the air and shake their ass, but it is a testament to their great songwriting and production that the remixes merely beef up the tracks for club play with almost no alteration of song sructure and very little change in BPM. When Paleday comes to America y'all better get your Crayons and Jellies on your feet, your thin turquoise ties and Danceskin out of Moth Balls cause it's time to part like it's 1979! For those to young to know what all this fuss is about, it's time to claim this sound as your own. Groove knows no age barriors and Paleday is all about the Groove!
