How should one go about introducing a musician who, over the past three decades shared the stage countless times alongside the country’s foremost musicians, as well world-class jazzmen?
His talent shone through very early in his carreer.
In the 70s, motivated by
Luis Vilas-Boas, he dedicated himself to music (as a drummer).
He studied at the "Luisiana" and the
"Hot Club de Portugal".
- having played in and out of Portugal, in concerts and festivals in the company of great and distinguished jazzmen such as:
Kai Winding, Steve Potts,
Mike Karr, John Schroder,
Mike Ross, among others.
In the same fashion he played alongside celebrated Portuguese musicians such as: Mario Laginha,
Jose Eduardo, Maria João,
Antonio Pinho Vargas, Rão Kyao,
Sergio Godinho, Jorge Palma,
Paulo de Carvalho,
Carlos do Carmo,
Rui Veloso, Vitorino,
Nanã Sousa Dias, João Paulo Esteves da Silva,
Carlos Azevedo, Carlos Barreto,
etc.
