Summoned together in 2005 by a mystical crystal that lay beneath a cinderblock garage, Palimpsest (named after the visible traces of original Egyptian scriptures which have been written over) met secretly, never revealing their identities to each other, or even speaking to each other, but only harnessing the combined force of their auras to synthesize the frequencies inaudibly emanating from the crystal, resulting in sonic semblances not unlike modern man's music. However the crystal's critical energy burst, unleashing a beautiful, brutal spiritbeast on their small forrest community, whose erratic mood swings are both bound and dictated by the Palimpsest's "music". Inextricably tied together, Palimpsest has since been a constant struggle to reign in the beast that seeks to totally consume their lifeforce and has opened their once covert meetings, inviting all to bear witness and give spiritual support to this sensorially, spiritually all-consuming battle.
