let's see...well, my favorite bands are flogging molly [♥!] and all american rejects [♥!]. i like just about anything, like The Ramones, AC/DC, The Used are pretty cool, so is Blink 182, My Chemical Romance, A7X, um, Missy Eliot, Ciara, Soulja Boy.........basically anything that i can dance to, has a good beat, and it doesn't help if the lyrics rock! i'll add more later.
Movies
don't make me choose! i like all movies, except for the really old 'non-talking' movies.
Television
i watch a lot of tv, so i have a lot of favorite tv shows. one of them is spongebob, as corny and stupid as that sounds. i also like wild boys, the real world, real world/road rules challenge (like the inferno II), the simpsons, family guy, futurama, american dad, desperate housewives, the amazing race, law and order SVU, and about a hundred other shows
Books
i really love to read, as nerdy as that sounds. my favorite books of all time are the Harry Potter books and The DaVinci Code, which i highly recomend to anyone. i love a good mystery novel whenever i can get my hands on one, fantasies, action/adventures, histories (not biographies, but more like a story about something that really happened or about a person who was living/still alive), or any combination of any that i just listed.
Heroes
one of my heroes, as corny as it sounds, is my mom. but before you get all judgemental, finish reading first. my mom died a little over a year ago due to pancreatic cancer. why, then is she my hero? well, she didn't let the cancer ruin her life while she was still alive; in other words, she didn't become depressed or angry or anything like that. she just lived her life to the fullest as she could, even when me or my sister were acting like bitches and my dad like a jackass. she was always there for me, listened to me, basically was a mom to me. she always let me and my sister know what was going on, never left us in dark about what was happening to her, even when she had a month left to live. it was really hard for me to watch my mom go through all of that, but in the end i'm glad that she isn't here, because she isn't in any more pain and she's in peace. she was a couragous, loving, considerate person who looked out for her family. besides, the people we love who die don't really leave us, now do they?

About me: Hey! what's up? i'm lisa p., most people call me lisa, lis, palinky, lika and slinky. i go to LCCC, lorain county community college. i graduated from ALHS, in june, and i'm still having a little trouble adjusting! i live at home, in avon lake. it kinda sucks, but at least i have a free roof over my head and (mostly) free food, and i keep my dad and sister from killing each other, so all in all it's okay. some other things:
~i want to do something with my life and help people, so i want to be a doctor, or a nurse.
