A little info on songs and whatnot
My influences in music are quite diverse, but the most significant are Jeff Beck, Jaco Pastorius, Edward Van Halen and Jimi Hendrix. And a lot of others, but these guys makes me want to play when i listen to them.
Most important for me in music is getting it all right, not striving for perfection, because honestly i find 'perfect' boring and to clean. If you place the little cracks just right, all the dirty stuff becomes insanely beautiful. That is what i love. Room for change, room for imperfection done right if you know what i mean.
The songs you can listen to here are fairly recent blurbs on my part. Although this one is pretty old - I have a great passion for music for films. I did the soundtrack too a short flick called 'Unchangeable' (2005 release) Revenge was a song written for the middle part, where the main character seeks out the murderer, it was written to fit the scenes, frame by frame. The vocalist are Sofie H. M. Christensen, I really like when she uses her voice like this. I played the rest and recorded it at Tweetyhood. I certainly wouldn't mind doing work like this again.
Its too late, is an old song i recorded in my own homegrown TweetyHood studio. On this version i played everything myself, but later I've rerecorded the drums using a real drummer. Heine Lennart, old friend of mine and a gifted drummer. The vocals are done by singer Linda Christensen, who's is a genuine talent. She can rock like noone else.
The other songs are also a one man show, except for vocals on 'Death comes soon enough' done by the beautiful and talented Sofie M. H. Christensen. I think the drums on that are Abe Laboriel Junior in form of a sample CD. I wish i could play with that guy in real life. He is so good! Having a setup with Abe Laboriel Junior and Tal Wilkenfeld on the groove could be something else. Thats a dream....
Next album.... It will be vocal tracks all the way through. I'm working on the songs, songwriting and finding the right people - all efforts will lead to a kick ass album with great songs. I will not cut corners on my way there, air will be moved and the furniture will be aqua-planning when this stuff will be rocked out. I believe in writing with the vocalist, to get the most from the song. If a vocalist can't find comfort in the material it just won't work. So quite a lot of the effort is on arranging it just right for the right people. Quite a challenge, but a great one, it makes one reflect on the songs and making them better.
Im reviving my passion for almost everything right now, having gone through something that was pretty close to hell for some years, on crutches and painkillers. But now I'm back to get the most of life again, and I want to realize who I am. Going through life making the sensible choices will keep one from fulfilling ones dreams of becoming who you really are. Its time to be, not not to be ;-) .
By the way, check out my instrumental soloalbum on itunes 'Turning Points'. Its a great soundtrack for driving.
Just returned from Lissabon, Portugal producing We Are The Damned on label Raging Planet. All recordings was done at the Generator Music Studio assisted by the magnificent D and Vegeta the great. Thanks for all the fun and a great time in mostly sunny Portugal to Miguel, Diogo, Ricardo, Sofia, Paulo (il Rei) Da Silva, Daniel and everyone who made my stay a very pleasent experience. I'm now in the process of mixing the album.

This video was recorded with my webcam, think it was in 2006, playing through a 2 dollar Roland Microcube. At the time I was on crutches, with a right broken leg. In the video I improvise, play some ideas and noodle around a bit. I dont look too happy because the guitar was resting right on the gap of my broken leg and it hurt pretty bad. I promise I'll smile if I do it again :)
My name is Palle Schultz and my main instrument is the guitar - or at least anything with strings on it.
Back in the early 90's i was part of a rock/indie act called Her Personal Pain, and we were nominated for five Grammy awards and recieved one for best new act. When the band fell apart I went on to other things, but continued to play music and to learn more.
I learned to play drums to better my timing skills on the guitar, but banging the drums was so fun that I kinda kept on doing it. I'm also a huge Jaco Pastorius fan, so for bass i use a fretless ESP thats pretty much a copy of Jaco's fender. I've just started to take singing lesson to better that too - or at least to get over my fear of singing. I've done backup vocals for years, but being in front scares the living daylights out of me - yet a thing to overcome.
I've participated on a number of albums and released an album in 2005 called Turning Points, which was mainly instrumental (available on iTunes). Right now I'm hard at work writing songs for my next one. This time it will be with vocals - the demoes are sung by really great singers that kindly offered their craft to this project. Deciding on the final lineup, will come in due time.
The Recordings
All my songs was and are recorded at my own studio, which pretty much are a few pretty good mikes, an audio interface and a Mac computer Keeping the technology at a bare minimum makes one work harder on making a hopefully good sound.
When I need space for recording drums, I usually do it at at Antfarm Studios owned by my friend renowned producer Tue Madsen. So far for my new project, everything are done at my private surroundings, mainly using Logic as recording software.
