Sancho [vocals, tambourine, handclaps] is the daddy! He's the one with always too many irons in the fire, but he's also streetwise and strikes while it's hot! Sancho is the first to show up at rehearsals, amazingly, with all the kids, wives and architectural projects around. He's a true man of good will (though bad drivers make him mad!) and the most sociable in the band.
Johannes [guitar, vocals] is an idealist, a hopeless romantic but still knows how to get wild, let loose and party! The world makes him thirsty, and when he's not thinking about music he's probably worrying about human rights (and occasionally football). After some years of studying (incl. medicine and anthropology) he has handed over his talent to Palma exclusively.
Ville [guitar, vocals, keys] is the one who always wins, no matter what's the game. Luckily, he's devoted to Palma! Being often stubborn, he's most of the time just right. This handsome hipster goes to sleep and wakes up with music, he lives and breathes it! He's also capable of expressing his inner spheres of emotion with a piano, and he knows the stars!
Pele [bass] is the nice guy of Palma, but only in the good sense! The depression is wiped off of everybody's face the moment this groovy fellow steps in the house. But no worries, he's got plenty of edge and attitude! Plus, not only is he a masterful graphic designer, but he comes up with the best one-liners in the northern hemispere as well.
Oskar [drums] is the other half of Palma's ever so tight multi-instrumentalist rhythm section, but also a dedicated hip-hop producer. He supplies the right beats, the right vision and explanations for every situation. He's a peace-loving, heartfelt musician who always speaks in metaphors and boozes up incredible amounts of orange juice daily!

Short story:
Palma is a power popping rock group from Helsinki, Finland. They are a basic "a bunch of friends having a good time playing music" type of act but with touch of professionality to it. Influences include e.g. The Soundtrack of Our Lives, Radiohead and Supergrass. Slighty retroish but with modern edge.
After some years of rocking together, dozens of gigs and large amounts of beer the guys have just released their first album entitled "Be Bold And Mighty Forces Will Come To Your Aid". It contains 13 original Palma pearls, that is, catchy rock tunes with attitude and nice melodies! Rebellious, moody, charismatic & groovy.

Loppukesän Säpinää -illassa liikutaan runsaiden tunteiden ja elektronisten soundien välimaastossa, kun lavalle astuu Mesmer sekä Viola.
Mesmer tunnetaan kunnianhimoisesta soundistaan joka hyppii yli tyylirajojen. Kuultavissa on kaikkea kitararyöpytyksen, krautrockjumituksen ja psykedeliarockin väliltä. Yhtye valmistautuu julkaisemaan uuden albuminsa "The Ghost of a Tennis Court" alkusyksystä.
Indie-elektroyhtye Viola taaseen juhlii kymmenenvuotista uraansa. Kaksikko luopui tänä vuonna perinteisten levyjen julkaisemisesta ja siirtyi digitasialiseen formaattiin, Viola Music Clubin muodossa. Web-sivuilla yhtye julkaisee kuukausittain uuden kappaleen täysin ilmaiseksi. Viimeisin tekele on englanniksi laulettu versio TV-Resistorin kappaleesta 'Näen tanssivan sun uudestaan'. Violan uusia soundeja tullaan kenties myös kuulemaan keikalla.

Heinäkuun illassa Kuudennen Linjan lavalle astelee, kukin vuorollaan, kolmesta eri yhtyeestä tuttua keulahahmoa. Luvassa jotakin yhtyeiden tuotantoa mutta lähinnä tarjolla on harvemmin kuultavissa olevaa, solistiherrojen omaa materiaalia.
Iltaa avaamassa on kehuja vastaanottaneen At the End indierock -yhtyeen solisti, Jarno-Erik Faarinen, joka soittaa akustisen keikan uuden Fotoshop elektroprojektinsa vastapainoksi. Toisena lavalle astuu Cosmobile triosta tuttu Tuomas Palonen, joka lupaa rock-estetiikkaan ja pop-koukkuihin luottavan yhtyeensä äänimailmasta poikkeavia soundeja. Illan pääesiintyjänä on lahjakas multi-instrumentalisti/sanoittaja, nimittäin menestyneen Rubik yhtyeen nokkamies Artturi Taira.
