About me:
The Palm Tree Garden (PTG) is an effort by many in the Gnostic community online--called the Logosphere within the PTG-- to bring together the larger Gnostic community in the world. In recent years the terms "Gnostic" or "Gnosticism" have become very popular, thanks in part to Movies based on the works of Phillip K Dick, The DaVinci Code, The Matrix, and various other sources (for better or for worse). Many people are un-aware of where these ideas come from, others are confused by alot of mis-information out there about ancient and modern Gnostic thought. The Palm Tree Garden does not pretend to be the "end all be all" on Gnosticism, but rather serves as a gateway to a path. It is the intent of the PTG to keep the spirit alive and growing, to fan the flame of Gnosis in all of us--both on the web and in the "World". It is a non-sect specific effort, meaning that Gnostics from various schools of thought are working together--Christian, Sethian, Valentinian, Hermetic etc... We believe Gnosticism has the power to change the world. To become a member you have only to join. This is not another "secret school of initiation" it is open to all!
