I read a lot of blogs related to separation of church/state, equality issues, and environmental/population concerns.
I like art, especially New Mexico landscapes, and have many posters and prints as well as 3 original watercolor paintings by Phyllis Kapp. My neighbor, Barbara Bartels, does terrific landscapes!! Love to tour galleries in Taos and go to Canyon Road in Santa Fe to look at art. Have been to Paris and Italy and would love to go back (to either).
I also am REALLY fond of the jewelry made by Rebecca Thomson(Mystic Warrior).
I'm a big fan of ANNA KONYA skirts and have several.

I LOVE New Mexico and have FINALLY moved here, after anticipating for 35+ years, with my husband and 2 cats.
I'm a Libertarian and I firmly believe in separation of church and state.
I support the following groups: Freedom from Religion Foundation, the American Humanist Association, the World Pantheist Movement, Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, Equality New Mexico, and the Human Rights Campaign. Also, locally, Taos Feeds Taos(a group that gathers and distributes food at Xmas to those in need), Stray Hearts, the animal shelter in Taos, Taos Feral Feline Friends, and CAV (Community Against Violence)helping women in crisis in Taos.
I don't necessarily buy into the whole man-made global warming myth, BUT I do see the advantages and appropriateness of all of us "not shitting in our own nest" so.....despite the 2 TVs(my husband) and 2 computers(me, 1 work, 1 personal) running much of the day, I'm TRYING to conserve FINITE resources by doing the following: I telecommute for my job and drive a Ford Escape 4wd HYBRID (aka "The Little Beast") (See GreenHybrid for mileage info), recycle all that I can at the Taos city recycling center(glass, paper, cans, cardboard, but unfortunately NOT plastic), use Second Generation dish soaps, laundry detergent, and recycled paper goods, have reusable bags for shopping, wash clothes in COLD water using an energy efficient washer, have stainless steel bottles for carrying drinking water with me, and have replaced MOST (90%)of the light bulbs in our home with CFLs. Also, added 2 operable skylights and 2 sun tubes in previously unlit rooms & for ventilation and had Spray Polyurethane Foam(SPF) put on our roof. It kept the house cool in the summer months and snug and warm this winter. I have installed five 60 gallon rain barrels and one 165 gallon tank to catch rain water to put on my plants.
