I dont really watch television much. I have never followed any series on tv so Im a ratings watchers worst nightmare. I do like travel documentaries, discovery channel and very silly stuff especially old british comedies. I pay attention to commercials and music videos for proffessional reasons.

Some of my faves are God of Small Things - Arundhati Roy, Things Fall Apart - Chinua Achebe, Purple Hibiscus - Chimamanda, Sefi Atta,early Anne Rice, Jilly Cooper ( wonderful scandalous gossipy stuff), David Drake, Dickens, Austen, Spy novels, horror, thrillers, Sci fi and Fantasy. My fave site is baen for sci fi stuff. Im hooked on mages and saving the world from dark forces. When desperate I will read a bodice ripper romance thingie, old newspapers anything.

Im a 36 year old artiste slash, ngo volunteer slash pr consultant slash producer type. My various roles reflect the various routes I took to escape practising architecture. I love reading, music and my tastes in terms of genre are definitely not consistent. If I like it, I like it. I dont really understand charts. My friends find me talkative and claim I appear to be confident. This an illusion I mantain with little difficulty. It gets easier. I hope to make friends and understand more about this very confusing world I found myself in. and something I noticed on myspace.... A lot of people(guys!) send me add requests and mail.... but they have BLANK pages. Would you add me if the reverse where the case? It would be nice if you actually read whats on my page too :)
It's been a juggernaut, but "IF THE RAINS DON'T CLEANSE" (my novel about my parents' experiences as schoolteachers in 1950s Africa) is finally available on Amazon.com. In fact, it's selling so well it was marked "out of stock" for several days -- thank God they're now still shipping it.
It's getting strong reviews and a grown-up readership -- I'm thrilled.
