Pamela is a 23 year old singer whose great interest in music started when she was only 5 years old, when she started her studies in music theory that lasted for 8 years. At the age of 7, Pamela started attending violin lessons and at the age of 12 she was also encouraged to learn the guitar. In fact, Pamela still plays the guitar while singing in different occasions and her regular playing in various hotels on the Maltese Islands. She also spent several years teaching acoustic guitar to children.
Pamela started off her singing career as a soloist at the age of 12. She participated in various song festivals on the Maltese Islands, and her first national debut was when she won the National Youth Festival in 1999 with a song composed and written by herself. Pamela also interpreted several main roles in various musicals and musical concerts held on the Islands such as, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Chess, Phantom of the Opera, Fame, Evita, Moulin Rouge, Fiddler on the Roof, Les Miserables, Notre Dame de Paris, Beauty and the Beast, Miss Saygon, and Jesus Christ Superstar; operettas such as The Merry Widow, and Waltzes from Vienna and other concerts and music festivals held on the Maltese Islands. Pamela was tutored in voice technique by the well known international soprano Prof. B.K. Dobreva, where she developed her talent further in both Classical and Pop singing.
Pamela is both a very good singer and musician, and this enabled her to be entrusted the role of a choir mistress in several original musicals held on the islands, where she co-ordinated the vocal harmonies and soloists with total dedication. Pamela had also composed a mini-musical herself and this is where she developed her great interest in working in recording studios.
Pamela graduated as a Speech and Language Therapist (also known as Logopaedia) in November, 2004 from the University of Malta. An essential part of this intensive 4-year course was her favourite subject which includes Voice: Anatomy and Physiology, Vocal Hygiene, Vocal Technique, Prevention of Vocal Abuse and Misuse and other related areas. In turn, this encouraged Pamela to form her thesis around all these areas mentioned but related to Maltese Pop singers. In fact she came up with a scientific study where she compared the awareness of the correct vocal technique and vocal hygiene of 10 trained with 10 untrained pop female singers. This study helped Pamela to develop her own knowledge regarding such essential issues in singing further and in fact she was also invited to give several courses to different choir members regarding the proper use of the voice while singing.
In 2004, Pamela also participated for the first time in the most prestigious festival in Malta; the Malta Song for Europe.
