I had a dream. I was on stage. I just finished performing after a very inspirational musician. We stood together. I looked out into the empty theatre. I woke up.
The dreams continued day and night. I remembered dreaming of what I’ve actualized as a painter. I knew that once again destiny was calling.
That day I decided to buy a guitar. I used my rent money walked down to the music store and bought a guitar.
So in the midst of a career as an artist (a painter/performance artist), the process with clear intention began.
Most people would like to peg me down—are you a painter or a singer?
But I’m just an ‘artist’.
Here’s the thing: I paint when I paint. I sing when I sing. I write when I write.
One feeds the other.
And, well, that’s it…I have to create and I’m always singing a song…
Please check back for frequent updates and future performances… Right now I have a very tight deadline on a large-scale, powerful series of portraits of women's faces - sixty-nine portraits, to be precise - the number of women from Vancouver's downtown eastside who have been missing for more than a decade.
