  • Bio

Life has a whole new meaning for Pam MacBeth these days after surviving a head on collision with a drunk driver on the way to a show in Nashville. Like the southern town where she was born, Pam has the strength of the Georgia red dirt running through her veins. It's these things that make it possible for her to come back even stronger than before. "It definitely makes you have a whole new set of eyes to see the world" says Pam. Now she has a new start and a CD called A Part Of Me which was recorded in Nashville and co-produced by she and Andy Most and co-written with her favorite writer /singer Rex Elwell. This long awaited CD has some of the best musicians in Nashville playing on it, such as, Greg Jennings of Restless Heart, fiddle great Aubrey Haynie and Mike Johnson on steel guitar. The ten songs that make up A Part Of Me are sewn together with the thread of her life experiences which makes the music direct from her soul and clearly "a part of her". Also included is a classic cover tune and some fun loving honky tonk songs to make it all complete. Her live shows are know for their adrenaline-pumping power, her vocals that are a rich blend of tradition meets today, combined with the stellar musicians she is surrounded by, but it's her love for the music that makes Pam MacBeth a passionate artist. Those who know Pam describe her as driven, energetic and determined. How else could a little girl from Smyrna, Georgia follow her dreams to center stage of the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee. Pam grew up spending her weekends at The Jeffersonian Bluegrass Barn and Gus Fletcher's, a local music hall in her hometown, waiting for her chance to step on stage and sing with the band. It was during this time she learned to sing the songs of country music's great artist like Emmylou Harris and Loretta Lynn. Shortly thereafter she was recommended to Opryland USA in Nashville and her showmanship as an entertainer landed her a job singing and dancing in the popular production Country Music USA. This show led to television appearances, music videos and touring with the likes of Confederate Railroad and the southern rock band Molly Hatchet. Having a taste of playing honky-tonks around the world Pam felt she was ready to step out on her own and record her first album Cowgirl State Of Mind in 2000. The singing and writing of such greats as Dolly, Hank, Merle and Billy Joe Shaver have always inspired her. "These artist lived what they wrote and wrote what they lived" says Pam. While working on her own albums she found time to do live shows, music videos and TV specials with different artist like Jerry Lee Lewis, Steve Earle, Charlie Daniels, Lonestar, Pam Tillis, Marty Stuart, Vince Gill and Merle Haggard. In 2000 a promoter in Amsterdam who invited her to headline a four month tour of Holland introduced Pam to the international market. She released her first album overseas and her success has caught on all over the european market. She has done performances in Holland, Scotland, Belgium, and Denmark. In 2001 she released her second album "Forever One Day At A Time" which received great reviews and took her back overseas for a bigger european tour that expanded into Germany where she opened numerous shows coming to the stage on a brand new Harley Davidson. Pam began 2002 with a bang headlining festivals in Lithuania and Barcelona while continuing her touring in the US with GMC trucks, playing the Grand Ole Opry Pavilion , The Nashville Palace, Tootsie's Orchid Lounge and her favorite Robert's Western World. In 2004 she sang backups for talk show host Jerry Springer for some exclusive dates, she also performed on the Canary Island of Lanzarote and was asked to be a part of a movie project from Disney with a release date unknown at this time. In 2005 Pam had a great experience of playing with one of her musical heroes, Billy Joe Shaver, in front of the Grand Ol'Opry house while also playing Summerfest at The Opryland Hotel. Pam also was invited by promoter Eddie Romeo to perform with a local singer/TV celebrity Marisa D'Amato on the island of Malta and was received by sold out crowds. In 2006 Pam took some time off to recover from the injuries she sustained during the car wreck, she also finished her album A Part Of Me and had a son. Recently Pam was asked to play at The Grand Ole Opry House Portico and is spending a great deal of time in Europe. She has teamed up with some great musicians Chris Koenen a blues guitar legend and Wim van de Vliert award winning country singer/guitarist , for many shows in 2008. She started 2009 off by headlining one of the biggest festivals in Europe called The Western Experience. Whether she is performing an intimate acoustic set or riding a Harley on stage Pam is a true artist in every sense of the word. It is writing and performing music that is a reflection of her inner self that has made Pam a unique independent artist. ........ ........ ........
