I graduated from University of North Carolina in 1996 with a BA in Geography. My philosophy was, "I don't know what I want to do, but as long as I know how to get there I'll be all right." During a trip to Europe and my recovery from a bruised rib that almost cut my trip short, I discovered the benefits of massage. Upon returning from my trip I enrolled in a 550 hour course at Garden State Center for Holistic Health Care, Lakewood, NJ. I grauduated Garden State in 1998 under the supevision of my teacher and mentor Gloria Copolla.
I was driven to massage therapy by the increased need to help others relax, reduce pain and manage stress more effectively. Over the past 10 years I has studied various massage modalities such as Lyphatic Drainage, Cancer Massage and Reflexology. I'm a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist, a member of AMTA and pending NJ state Certification for Massage Therapy.
Why mobile? I believe for every one full hour of bodywork you should be able to relax for one full hour after. Tell me a spa or salon that allows for this kind of relaxation after the treatment? That is why the benefits of an at-home massage far out weigh traveling to a spa and then traveling home. In your home you can be relaxed and not have to race anywhere afterwards.
