Bio:
This band started in the late summer of 2005, deep in the mountains of Cidra, PR, at the home of Ray while messing around in his home studio. He wanted to create a different and heavier sound than his previous band and really break the mold of seriousness that had plagued the music scene in Puerto Rico. After recording two songs, he quickly made a myspace and jokingly named the band Panadol Para el Dolor, poking fun at the "agony" of which emo kids talk about and a local aspirin brand in the process. Soon after, he got calls from several friends saying how funny the lyrics were and how he should make the band work. After this, one of his classmates (Pablo), said he had been looking to play drums in a band for quite some time and had a friend (Francisco) who could play second guitar in the band. Soon after, another classmate joined in to play bass (Carlos) and a big music buff from the local metal scene (Frankie) joined as the resident screamer.
After only two weeks of practicing, more songs emerged and for copyright reasons the name was altered to Pannadoll Para El Dolor. The band played their very first show and continued to do so with more humor, more aggressiveness and more of our peculiar style.
