here are some bands that have changed our lives: the beach boys, jawbreaker, kings of leon, the police, crimpshrine, the all-american rejects, copeland, nofx, leasing nations, the outfield, the get up kids, foo fighters, justin timberlake, jets to brazil, and journey to name a few...
pan america consists of a love for music that turned into a beautiful mix of the perfect people. we started making music in 2007 as a completely different outfit, and after a bit of a hiatus, we are back and stronger than ever. with a new ep on the way and a full length behind us, we are ready to take to the streets again and play our music to the people of the earth. we love what we do. this is what makes us us. the whole approach for the new pan america was to first and foremost have a great time. no pressure just fun! and after taking the shit out of some time, we got the right people and the new sound.
on bass guitar and vocals we have my great friend sean moore. sean and i go way back to a time in oklahoma where my pop punk band the grizzwalds needed a guitar player. sean was the man with the pa and the sweet skills, so we broke into his house, kidnapped him and off we were. oh p.s. we were also in a hardcore band together called rat piss. yeah.
on the keys and vocals, weighing in at an incredible 345 lbs we have jim wakefield, winner of the hit abc show wipe out. he hates when i bring it up, so naturally i put it in the bio. jim came into my life in the summer of 2008 and he has brought nothing but positive energy and sweet piano licks to everything we do.
on guitar and vocals we have mikey vinzce. mikey was an original guitar player for pan america. he and i made a pact in the beginning to stick together through whatever happened and we held up on our bargain.
our newest member, on the drums and percussion we have anthony sonetti. he claims that he can't sing but i busted him a few times, so wait for the 5 part harmonies. anthony came to us through our manager. he auditioned with two of the old songs then immediately jumped into playing four new ones. we knew he was the one as soon as sean didn't have to give his speech about how you don't have to go all crazy on the kit and other rhythm section ramblings... he worked on it all day and didn't even have to say a word of it.
on vocals and fun guitar leads is myself, josh hogan. i came into the band when i met our old drummer and producer. we lived in the same building and began making music together in our spare time. these songs were the foundation of pan america, and now the new songs and the new line up are the walls and doors and windows of what is to come.
