Well here it is, we still aren't quite sure why we need a Myspace page when we have a much better website that isn't controlled by Rupert Murdoch at http://www.pandamonium.com.au but loads of you asked for it, so here it is!
Pandamonium Records is a Cairns based record label serving up an eclectic mix of future retro sounds from the region. We have been putting out compilations of the regions artists since 1999 and stage several indie music nights around the place.
We also run a cozy little recording studio, with a very creative vibe where all our releases are recorded. Occasionally we hire it out to other people not signed to the label, but only if we really like you.
The label has been pretty much inactive and bands on it's roster split up or out of action from around late 2005 - early 2008 due to the Cairns band scene all but dying thanks to noise laws, smoking laws, poker machines, Doof Doof nightclubs, overzealous christian fundamentalist licensing cops and various other factors. The scene now seems to be enjoying somewhat of a resurgence, and we are starting to put gigs on again. Guess we should go out and sign some more acts huh?
