“I-Robots aka Gianluca Pandullo” began his career in the early '80s playing the various genres of black music that included funk, disco, and afro rhythms, with a personal interest in electronic music and theese roots are still evident in his musical selections techno and house oriented now.
Over the years he has promoted many musical styles; he has played d.j. sets that included the rhythms of soul, jazz, funk, and latin, as well as everything that has derived from them:
hip-hop, house, acid-jazz, trip-hop and drum'n'bass.
Gianluca Pandullo is also an avid collector and trader of vinyl. He was a journalist, reviewer and also an active promoter workin’ with the biggest and best-known names in every musical scene.
His skills and experience in every musical environment allow him to create a truly original and alternative d.j. set, with influences that find inspiration in the various styles of House & Techno Music, incorporating traces of freestyle, electro, deep, afro, dub and jazzy;
all of it meshes perfectly with his innate ability to read the crowd and create an instant mood.
First step of the “I-Robots” project was the kult “Italo Disco Underground Classics” compilation released by Irma Rec.s incl. some of the most seminal 80’s Italo Disco tunes selected from Gianluca Pandullo’s large records collection; this compilation was immediately respected from artists like X-Press 2, Tiefshwarz, Carl Craig, Sven Vath, Luke Vibert, Headman, Trevor Jakson, Daniele Baldelli, Triple R, Felix Da Housecat, Joey Negro, Dimitri from Paris, DJ Hell and many more and also supported from the press.
Short time after, Elettrica, sublabel of Irma Rec.s, released the “I-Robots feat. Spacer Woman” first I-R 12” e.p., perfect combination of Italo Disco, Electro, Acid House & Minimal Dub, incl. his version of “Spacer Woman” & “Frau” produced together with Und & Oxtongue; so I-Robots was immediately named as new wave italian artist and “Frau” was immediately licenced to Boysnoize Rec.s that produced a 12” incl. original, Phuzique (Kid Alex) & Boys Noize remixes. “Frau” was also incl. in many compilations like: Fabric 23 by Ivan Smagghe, The International Collection: Germany insert cd of IDJ Mag, Maximize! by Shir Kahn, OiOiOi, OiOiOi Remixed & BNR Vol. 1 by Boys Noize, Lago by Kid Alex, Radio Soulwax Live by 2 Many DJs and Radio Disco by Boris Dlugosh & Radio Slave released by Ministry Of Sound, I Love Techno 2008 by Music Man.
The Gianluca Pandullo’s idea to have the “Frau” accappella on his single was part the success of this tune cause all d.j.s and producers regular play or rework it producing their own version or remix so is possible to find lot of them on internet by Emule or various music websites for private download.

By the way “Frau” is still played worldwide 4 years after the first edition (collectors item actually) and also Tiga declared “Frau” as one of the most important tune of 2006.

“Laws Of Robotics” feat. Und, Nemesi Tuscania & Marconi, 3 x 12” singles project out in the late 2008 by the Gianluca Pandullo’s own records label Opilec Music.
The limited Ornaments 12” single released last week of July 2008 was immediately sold out in one week only at Word and Sound Distr.
I-Robots remixed “Korowa Milk Bar” tune of N.OI.A., italian wave electro disco kult band, for their 20th anniversary productions project.
Gianluca Pandullo’s parallel projects are “Nemesi”, released by Relish Rec.s and “Ebbro”, released by Lucy Lee Quality Rec.s.:
Relish Rec.s released 4 Nemesi singles also incl. remixes from Lindstrom, Prins Thomas and Daniele “Cosmic” Baldelli. Nemesi was incl. in some compilations like: Fabric 30 by Rub’N’Tug, Dr. Lektroluv’s Lektroluv 007, Nu Balearica (cd promo only) by Fred Deakin and Relish Records Compilation by Robi “Headman” Insinna.
“Nemesi” remixed “The Addiction” of “Bogus & Bonnes”, italian underground project, that will release in the late 2008 the first of 3 singles for Skylax Rec.s and N.OI.A. for their 20th anniversary productions project.
Lucy Lee Quality Rec.s released 2 x 12” singles of “Ebbro” incl. remixes by Pier Bucci, Nick Chacona & Stefny Winter; Ebbro’s tracks are incl. in the Phillip Morris’ “One Pack One Track” website music download project too.
“Ebbro” will be out soon with the last single of the project incl. the Losoul remix released also by Lucy Lee Quality Rec.s..........................................................................................
