Panhandle Country presents over 85 years of recorded, traditional Country Music as well as live music and occasional interviews. On any show you might hear a mix of Bluegrass, Honky-tonk, Western Swing, Cajun, Old Time String Band, Country Jazz and all forms of Traditional Country music both old and new, with a few weird things thrown in for fun. I tend to play the raw, razor edged, heartfelt, emotional, paint peeling, crying in your beer music. I alternate every other Sunday with Ray Edlund's "Pig in a Pen Show" Bluegrass show.
KPFA-FM is a 59,000 watt FM station located in the San Francisco Bay Area. The show is also simulcast of KFCF-FM in Fresno. The two signals cover much of Northern and Central California and we are heard world wide through the internet.
