Are you looking to get more involved on campus at UM-Dearborn? Fall recruitment is coming up in September. If you are interested in joining a sorority this fall please contact our Panhellenic Vice President of Recruitment or Panhellenic President! We want to give you as many opportunities as possible to meet the women of Delta Phi Epsilon, Phi Mu and Phi Sigma Sigma and decide which sisterhood is right for you. Summer Events Wednesday August 13, 8pm - Coldstone Tuesday, August 26th, 4pm - All-Sorority Picnic Both events are free! Meet at the University Center and come hang out with women from each of the three chapters as well as your recruitment counselors. Whether you're looking to join a sorority or just get information, come check us out! Fall Events Thursday, September 4th, 10am-4pm, All-Greek Open House Meet people from all fraternities and sororities and get a feel for Greek Life on UMD's campus! Wednesday, September 10th, 10am-4pm, Panhellenic Open House Meet women from all three chapters in the University Center. Sign up for Fall Recruitment or just learn about what a Panhellenic Sorority has to offer you! Thursday, September 11th, 2:30 to 3:00pm or 9:15pm to 9:45pm, Info Night Just you and the recruitment counselors, this is another opportunity to learn about sororities and what recruitment week is all about! ------------------------------------------------------------------ Fall Recruitment Tuesday, September 16, 6:00pm – 9:00pm, "Sisterhood" Open House Learn about each sorority and their strong sisterhood bonds! Wednesday, September 17, 6:00pm – 9:00pm, "Philanthropy" Open House Learn about each sorority and their philanthropic/service events! -For the open houses you may come at any time, between 6pm and 8pm. --We encourage you to attend both Tuesday and Wednesday. However, with your conflicting schedules, it is understandable if you cannot attend both but make sure you attend either Tuesday or Wednesday! ---Dress for open houses is snappy casual (nice shirt and jeans or khakis). ----Registration for Fall Recruitment ends at 8:30pm on Wednesday. Thursday, September 18, 6:30pm - 8:30pm, "Tradition" Formal Rounds Each woman may meet up to three sororities for 45 minutes each. This is a night of skits, songs and fun. It also is a time for you to really feel for where you belong. -Dress for formal rounds is snappy casual (nice shirt and jeans or khakis) Saturday, September 20, 11:00am - 2:30pm, Preference Ceremony Each woman may attend up to two preference ceremonies for one hour each. This is a time where a sorority's true meaning of sisterhood is displayed in ritual. Sisters may ask where you feel most comfortable and want to know your feelings on the sorority. -Dress for Preference Ceremony is business attire (slacks & blouses or appropriate dresses) --Bring jeans and a t-shirt to change into after Preference Ceremony! Preference Ceremony is followed by Bid Day, where, after you are extended a bid, you get to hang out with your brand-new sisters!
