About me:

Performing Arts Newcastle (PAN)

Performing Arts Newcastle (PAN) is a local community non-profit organisation established in 1997 to assist and nurture artists in the Hunter region.

Did you know that PAN provides assistance and advice for nearly every cultural event held in Newcastle - everything from rock concerts to awards nights. Pan also provides rehearsal rooms and workshop spaces for the major arts festivals held in Newcastle - The Shoot Out Film Festival, This Is Not Art, Newcastle Music Week and more.

The PAN studios have acted host to many international and community based organisations. From belly dancers to Silverchair, PAN is able to cater for all.

WHY BECOME A MEMBER?

* Inclusion and access to a network of practitioners/services in the arts/media field.
* Assistance with Public Liability Insurance within the Newcastle region
* Information concerning professional development in your field - workshops, classes, conferences, discussions, meetings.
* Assistance in funding applications.
* A weekly emailed newsletter ("e-audience")detailing events, auditions, performers.
* Cheaper hiring rates for performance space and rehearsal spaces.

REHEARSAL SPACE

* 3 rehearsal studios with natural light in secure premises.
* Large dance studio with tarkette flooring and mirrors.
* Toilets, Showers and changing areas.
* Centrally located, close to transport, cheap hiring rates for members.

HIRING RATES

Minimum booking 3 hours

STUDIO 1
Members ($60) per hour after ($20)
Non-members ($90)per hour after ($30)

STUDIO 2 & 3
Members ($36) per hour after ($12)
Non-members ($48) per hour after ($16)

Please add 10% GST to all hiring prices.

For bookings over 6 hours please contact PAN office for extended rates.

When we win, it will be turned into a pilot and broadcast. Please go to http://www.one80project.com.au/View_Video.aspx?id=369 That’s our video. To register via the net you can go to http://www.one80project.com.au/user_signup.aspx and sign up with your email. Then go back to our video link and pressed the button that says ‘CROOKED’. You can only vote once per email that you have however. Or you can vote via SMS. To vote that way you send the word CROOKED to 199ONE80 (19966380). You can vote by SMS as much as you like and its 55cents including GST to do so. That’s cheap! Each week they give away $2000 worth of brand new TV's, videocameras and mobile phones to people who vote. Next week, they give away $15,000 to voters! The more times you vote for us, the more chances of winning! If you're in a band and you vote for us, it's probably a good idea. I mean, soundtracks? MTV? TV Airplay? Connect the dots... the trailer is cheap (I mean, it cost $10 to make) but with MTV's input we could turn it into an Aussie Goodfellas. Plus, we're from the Hunter so we'd like to bring the show up here if possible, which is good for local performers. Pass the message on please, thanks!

I had to put logos and info about PloyMe and add the most friends to my MySpace site. You’ll be happy to hear that I WON! Thank you all so much for helping me. As the winner I get a paid job to maintain a new MySpace site for people who want to work at music festivals this summer. I am reclaiming my site as my personal page. You can find the new site at www.myspace.com/ploymefestival it will be used to recruit people to work at music festivals this summer. And since summer is almost over :( you better add the site quick to be the first to score these awesome jobs. When the site gets enough friends they will have competitions where you can win tickets to festivals, like Good Vibrations etc. All the festival jobs are booked through PloyMe so you have to sign up to get these jobs. PloyMe also has heaps of other cool jobs on their site right now. To find it simply do a Google search for PloyMe and follow the instructions.
