Pantokrator was formed in autumn 1996. A number of demos were made, but it was not until 2001 - when the band released their self-financed EP "Songs of Solomon" - that things started to move.
The first full-length album "Blod" was released 2003 at Rivel Records and during a tour in Europe 2005 the band got in contact with the german label Whirlwind Records. The result of this and a close cooperation with producer Rickard Bengtsson, is the brand new album "Aurum" released early summer 2007.
AURUM
"Aurum" is a blast. Pantokrator deliver 10 bullets of breathtaking Deathmetal spit out in technical perfection. Producer Bengtsson created a massive soundwall which generates maximal power. Deep midtempo symphonies are contrasted by doublebass driven neckbreakers. "Aurum" is a challenging travel which culminates in "the hidden treasure" crowned by the atmospheric voice of guest voice Lina Holmström. Pantokrator creates an atmosphere of aggression and deep thought wrapped in a conceptual artwork and performed by a band in its best shape ever.
