A band founded in 91, initially as a trio, it became a quartet in 98 and in September of 99 launched its first CD “Inside”, which was very well received by the national and international media, even if it was of a limited production only.
In 2000, Panzer was part of compilation called The Loudest Times- from the USA label Progart Music, playing the cover Judas Priest song Night Crawler.
In 2001, Panzer launched its new CD titled “The Strongest” on the market, trying to maintain all the attributes that made its predecessor a “winner”, but with superior production (the production is by Mauro Cogo and the recording was done in Estúdio Alchimia Studios in the months of February and April 2001).
This CD was recorded by André Pars (guitars), Élcio Cruz (vocals) and Edson Graceffo (drums), and the basses by Luis Scapani and André Pars, since the until then bassist Jan Leonardi began to suffer serious problems of the tendons in his left hand, and had to leave the band
The album “The Strongest” brings 13 new songs, two of them being included as a bonus, and it is a CD that basically tries to be objective in its songs, influenced by the great Heavy and Thrash bands of the 80’s and Black Sabbath, but always taking care not to be outdated.
This album, gave good reviews in magazines around world like Rock Brigade Mag. (“first class Metal, with every details for to blow up the scene”) , Roadie Crew Mag. (“now, with the album The Strongest, the band takes really off and shows impressive compositions that are deeply rooted in the Thrash style of Bay Area.) and in sites like Whiplash (“This time Panzer showed that they were definitely the best of Thrash Metal, and the album "The Strongest" is responsible for this.”) , and participation in Festivals like Maceió Metal Fest (Panzer was headliner) , wich was part of the mini tour in Northeast of Brazil and Sepultura’s Tribute.
The CD was released on 30th June 2001, by Spiral Noise Records (owned by the band itself) and is being distributed in Japan by Arcoiris records.
"Inside" and "The Strongest" in 2003 released by CollisionRecords.
