Members of the band more often than not include, Andy Miller, Pat Vandeleur), Gary (Sheepdug) Taylor & Paul Woodside. Andy is producer at Chem 19 recording studios in Hamilton, just outside Glasgow and has recorded some great independent artists over the last ten years such as Sons and Daughters,Mogwai,Arab Strap,Fuck Off Machete,My Latest Novel,Eska,Scout Niblett,Gems,Songs Ohio,Arthur Baker,The Delgados and many more.
Pan have an eclectic sound which spans the world of breakbeats and cut up samples to acoustic guitar with vocal harmonies, even incorporating a banjo player in their live set where creative heckling is encouraged and the set list often gives to impromptu stretches of improvised songs and general mayhem. Inspired by influences ranging from Douglas Adams to DJ Shadow with some Tom Waits and Bill Hicks thrown in for good measure. Songs about Darwin’s theory, pet wolves, crucifixion and time travelling deities are all well within the realms of the acceptable for these guys.
Pan in recent times have supported the likes of Martin Stephenson,Scout Niblett,Bon Jovi,Martha Dumptruck Massacre,CrtlAltDelete,Joe Lonthorne (pre cancer),Swearing At Motorists,Tom O Connor and The Dudley Corporation.
