Senior architect in the month of October with the Dott. Prof. Arch. Mauro Lena at the University of Architecture of Venice IUAV with a project of urbanization for Campalto (VE) inclusive of studies on the new technologies abitative and energy alternatives.
Won in 2000 and in 2002 respectively of two concourse for emerging guitarists in Friuli-Venezia Giulia (Italy).- He participates in the record of a cd demo "Out of the Dark" for the bass player monfalconese Nataniele Flamigni and participated in the record of the whole LP homonymous in October 2003 gone out in 2004. He participates in various collaborations for the single "Capita" of Davide Cumini, chosen for the selections of Castrocaro 2003. Completion of a record of a cd/lp live to actual name in August 2004 titled "Paolo Zardo: horizon line" composed from various pieces written from the same and some re-arranged standards. - Interview to Radio Onde Furlane in July 2005 and publication of an article with the same interview in the month of September 2005 on "La Dolce Vita". - In The period February/April 2006 he teaches music at the Middle Institute School Inferior A. Manzoni of Udine. - In the period February/April 2007 he teaches music and improvisation at the Superior Institute Liism (Gemona-UD). - He participates at the recording of a song with the group friulano "Massima Aderenza" in June 2007.Musician self-taught person, plays the guitar from circa 16 years, but only from February 2003 has approached to jazz with passion and fervor. He had class with numerous guitar teachers like Robi Colella, Federico Stefanutti, Francesco Bertolini, the bass player Enrico Pasini (student and friend of Matthew Garrison), Primus Sitter and Riccardo Chiarion; he carries out different workshops with jazz guitarists among which Christian Suter (Germany), Luis Barcellos (Brazil), Wolfgang Muthspiel -Best European Jazz Musician 2003- (Austria) and Primus Sitter (Austria) with whom was in contact for periodic lessons in Austria; he continued different workshop jazz in the 2003 and 2004 in Klagenfurt in Austria where he had the honor to play some standards with Peter Herbert and Wolfgang Reisinger and to study in his ensemble. He continued in 2005 a jazz harmony course in Pordenone directed by Federico Missio (young regional saxophone talent) and a stage with Francesco Bertolini for the jazz improvisation with the analysis of numerous standards. From 2007 he takes lessons with Gaetano Valli, one of the most consolidated jazz musicians in region and he participates at the 37° edition of the stage of Siena Jazz from July 24 to 7 August 2007 in Siena Italy where he studies with Tommaso Lama - guitar, Stefano Zenni - Theory and Analysis - and plays with/participates in the ensemble of Giancarlo Schaffini, Furio Di Castri and Pietro Leveratto. He plays at present in different projects and he prefers, he plays and he composes in different musical styles like the jazz, the blues, the rock/funk, the bossa nova and the latin but always wanting to maintain an actual and personal imprint as he learned from the teachers and from his Musicians friends.
Questo mio progetto, nasce da un’ esperienza maturata nel corso di seminari ed incontri con vari insegnanti e musicisti jazz (in Austria con Wolfgang Muthspiel -Best European Jazz Musician 2003- e Primus Sitter ed in Italia con Francesco Bertolini ed Enrico Pasini -allievo ed amico di Matthew Garrison-) e si propone con mie composizioni di avvicinarsi ad un jazz moderno che guarda alle tendenze americane attuali e comprende bossa nova, funky, blues, free-jazz, un po’ di rock e ballads, più composizioni di classici e moderni standards riarrangiati.
Lo scopo che mi sono prefisso con questo mio lavoro (e che è sempre una costante nel mio modo di fare arte) è quello di dare emozioni alle persone che mi vengono ad ascoltare, volendo raccontare delle piccole storie (ogni titolo dei miei componimenti, infatti, può dare un suggerimento).
In realtà quella che suono è propriamente (e più semplicemente) la mia musica; musica scaturita da esprienze ed emozioni personali e che abbraccia i miei diversi stati d’animo.
Dottore architetto laureato all’Università di Architettura IUAV di Venezia (30 ottobre 2006).

Credenziali:
- Vincita nel 2000 e nel 2002 rispettivamente di due concorsi per chitarristi emergenti in Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
- Partecipazione con propri componimenti ad uno spettacolo teatrale tenutosi in Udine nel settembre 2002 tratto da una fiaba di Andersen.
- Partecipa alla registrazione di un cd demo “Out of the Dark” per il bassista monfalconese Nataniele Flamigni ed ha partecipato alla registrazione dell’intero LP nell’ottobre 2003. Partecipa a varie collaborazioni tra le quali quella per il singolo “Capita” di Davide Cumini, ammesso alle selezioni di Castrocaro 2003. Completamento di una registrazione di un cd live a proprio nome nell’agosto 2004 intitolato “Paolo Zardo: horizon line” composto da vari pezzi scritti dallo stesso più alcuni standards riarrangiati.
- Musicista autodidatta, suona la chitarra dal 1991, ma solo dal febbraio 2003 si è avvicinato al jazz sullo strumento.
Seguito da numerosi insegnanti di chitarra fra cui Robi Colella, Federico Stefanutti, Francesco Bertolini, il bassista Enrico Pasini (allievo ed amico di Matthew Garrison), Primus Sitter, Riccardo Chiarion ed attualmente Gaetano Valli, effettua diversi workshops con chitarristi jazz tra cui Christian Suter (Germania), Luis Barcellos (Brasile), Wolfgang Muthspiel -Best European Jazz Musician 2003- (Austria) e Primus Sitter (Austria); ha seguito diversi workshop jazz nelle estati 2003 e 2004 a Klagenfurt in Austria dove ha avuto l’onore di suonare alcuni standards con Peter Herbert e Wolfgang Reisinger e di studiare nell’ensemble di quest’ultimo.
Ha seguito nel 2005 un corso di armonia jazz a Pordenone diretto da Federico Missio (giovane talento regionale del sassofono) ed uno stage con Francesco Bertolini per l’improvvisazione jazz con l’analisi di numerosi standards.
Da quest’anno 2007 è seguito da Gaetano Valli, uno dei più noti e consolidati jazzisti in regione.
Partecipa alla 37° edizione dello stage di Siena Jazz che si svolge dal 24 luglio al 7 agosto 2007: studia con Tommaso Lama - Strumento, Stefano Zenni - Teoria ed Analisi - e suona con/partecipa negli ensemble di Giancarlo Schaffini, Furio Di Castri e Pietro Leveratto.
- Musica: suona ed ha suonato in diversi progetti tra cui: un gruppo blues (gli “Antica fabbrica del Blues”) col quale ha tenuto concerti in Austria all’Hofburg di Vienna, ad Aria di Festa a S. Daniele del Friuli, a Friuli D.O.C., a Venezia ed a Udine in diversi locali; un progetto dove con batteria, voce, tastiera e chitarra si suonavano riarrangiate con una vena jazz più moderna ed acida canzoni pop famose (Robbie Williams, David Bowie, Simply Red…); attualmente, il progetto a proprio nome denominato Horizon e la Big Band di Pordenone diretta da Juri Dal dan.
Predilige, suona e compone diversi generi musicali tra i quali il jazz, il blues, il rock/funk, la bossa nova ed il latino ma sempre cercando di mantenere una propria impronta personale come ha appreso dai Maestri e dai suoi amici Musicisti.
