MY BIGGEST AND MOST COMPELLING INSPIRATION IN THE WORLD IS MUSIC!!!
*****PAPA GRAZ FACTS*****
-First and foremost... Papa Graz eats, sleeps, breaths and shit's rap music.
-Papa Graz aims to be different with his music... he tries to always write with intelligence in mind... not just "a hot sound".
-Papa Graz was raised equally by his parents in Downriver, Michigan... and his grandma's (RIP) in Detroit (southwest).
-Papa Graz got into rap music because he never understood why rock bands dressed up in women's clothing.
-Not to sound elitist... but Papa Graz is not easily impressed... he's also very honest in his opinions.
-Papa Graz credits Run DMC, The Fat Boys, Fresh Prince and MC Hammer as his first favorite emcees.
-Papa Graz was not very well liked in elementary school. He got teased a lot and beat on for "listening to N-word music".
-Papa Graz's favorite personal track of his own music is The Funeral ft. Doenuttz.
-Papa Graz records all of his music with Pink aka Petey Wheatstraw aka Petey Pablo, the CEO and founder of Movement Records.
-Papa Graz has been recording music for 4 years. He started in August of 2004... he now says that "I've been doing this 4 years, but just in the past year is when I've learned 80% of what I know now".
-Papa Graz's favorite lyric of all time comes from Kid Rock: "People claim that they know me, but they only know a portion". The quote is from the song Devil Without A Cause.
-Papa Graz's favorite 5 emcees of all time, IN ORDER are: 2pac, Eminem, Rev. Run, Young Buck an a 5th emcee that rotates... currently it's Trick Trick.
-Papa Graz personally is fed up with the direction rap music has taken in the past 2-3 years. He believes rappers need to get out of the dance craze phase and back into "real, intellectual rap".
-Papa Graz DESPISES the term "gangsta rap"... "to me, gangsta rap for hip hop is the equivalent to death metal for rock... I don't call it "gangsta"... I call it "hardcore".
-Papa Graz has lived on both sides of the tracks. As he states, "I've gone from Goodie 2 Shoes to strung out addict... I've seen a lot of aspects of life".
-Papa Graz released his debut album, "Please Listen To My Demo" ft. guest appearances by Killa Kaunn of Iron Fist Records, Doenuttz of Movement Records, and Kara Graziano... a songstress, in August 2008. For your FREE copy, just email him.
-Papa Graz's songs The Funeral, Detroit Stand Up, Dime Piece, Words Can't Describe and Big Hammers have all recieved radio play in New York City.
-After a radio producer heard the song Dime Piece on a radio station in New York... he asked Graz to write and record a jingle for another show he produced called TapOut Radio. Graz's jingle, titled Fight Music, is used for the intro to the radio shows Monday and Thursday night shows. It was produced by Malaki Tha Most Hi of Sleeper Cell Records and recorded by Mr. Pink aka Petey Wheatstraw aka Petey Pablo of Movement Records.
