Old School Harleys , Hot Rods shiny ones or Rusty ones, antique stuff some say junk, music, music and more music. Old style blues to new style stuff.
Music
The Blues all of it both old and new. It seems to be so genuine and real. It touches the heart and soul in a deeper depth than most music to me. I like any GOOD music from old to new. I would rate B.B.King as about my favorite.
As much for the person as he is to the music he creates. In his book he said he only had two problems in his life, Whiskey and Women. For some reason I really understand that.
Heroes
So many to pick from. Stevie Ray not only for his music but in the end his peace with himself and coming to grips with his addictions. Had the pleasure of seeing him in Seattle and Everett on his last NW tour and he spoke of the inner peace he had found. BB King for the belief that the fans are the important ones not the performer, for without the fan there is no show. The wonderful late Luther Allison for his belief in his phrase"Leave the ego at home come play the music love the people" John Wayne for his belief in this country and the American dream at its finest. My father most of all who taught me the love of mankind, the lack of prejudice and most of all to cherish the children for they hold the future. 58,290 soldiers who gave their life in Vietnam and all others who have followed so we may enjoy the freedom to write and say what we want...
Papa Ron Here is to best wishes that we all have a great 2010. 2009 had its good times but really sucked bad at the end. Off to a new decade with high hopes.Papa Posted at 7:00 AM Jan 3 view more
About me: What can I say? What you see is what you get, music lover,Harley rider and the most proud father of two daughters and grandfather to three delightful grandchildren.A darling grandaughter off to college studying in the medical field. The coolest grandson learning guitar riffs. Now a new little lady to spoil!
Getting close to pulling the plug at work and enjoy life,my friends and all this world has to offer. I used to do a couple of blues festivals a year with my notorious "Blues Crew" some of the finest friends I have had the pleasure to be gifted with. I have had the joy in my 15 years or so of doing shows to be surrounded by some of the nicest people in the crowds and in the business. My heartfelt thanks to Billy Stoops,Too Slim, Cholo and many more for some of the best festival times I have ever had.
The blues community at large are a very warm and wonderful group. I encourage all to get involved with your local blues society and help the music live.
Keep living life and loving music!
Who I'd like to meet: New friends old friends. New interests and old. Music lovers, hot rod and motorcycle nuts.
I am not here to find "the one" I am here to broaden my boundaries of friends and interests..
