Paper Beats Rock are an Alternative Rock band from Edinburgh. Formed through the demise of a previous band, we re-emerged as 3 with a heavier and edgier sound than the initial incarnation. Favourable & flattering comparisons so far including early QOTSA, & Husker Du.
A well received 3 track demo, championed local gigs in Edinburgh & Glasgow, incl The Mill, Blood Red Shoes, and Electric Eel Shock support slots, PBR had their first national airplay on XFM. Also having a set broadcast worldwide on WAM TV for the Edinburgh Festival. A second self produced CD - Please Yourself has been available to hear online and to purchase through our gigs this summer. Soon to take a short break and write some further new material PBR will be back to invade your senses with some blistering live shows, and an array of new tracks.
