   About Paperboy
Paperboy was a rock band from Asheville, NC, USA during the early years of the 21st century. Paperboy was formed in late 2002, played their first live show in October of 2003 and their last in April 2007. Paperboy went through several line-up changes, having no less than 4 lead singers, 4 guitar players and 4 drummers during their stay on planet Earth.

Paperboy was most certainly many things to many people but could probably best be described as a band that was inspired by the high energy guitar/bass/drums bands of the early new wave punk rock scene and the sneer driven and straightforward vocal delivery of vintage rock and roll. The net result was pure un-apologetic pop music. Listening to them one might believe that their music would more likely have come from NYC during the late 1970's than from a small southern city during this century, oh well.

Paperboy released one 12 song album ironically titled "unreleased" with the original line-up of Clare, Joshua, and Jeff - plus guests. Certainly not groundbreaking, but it was embraced as an instant classic to the critics and fans who heard it for what it was. Four songs from the album were also released on a CD/EP titled "Only on the Outside." Some of the songs were released on various compilations while others are slated for compilations with future released dates. The band also recorded 4 or 5 other songs which were barely released, mostly just finding their way out as copies for friends and family.

Paperboy is always looking for media from any of their live shows, including but not limited to photos, video, and live audio recordings. Please contact the band here if you have any of this.
