Originally formed in 2003, Papercity Skyline has already been proven as one of the most intense and recognizable metal bands to come from the Sacramento area. Drummer Alex Blanton and guitarists TJ Butler and Jeremy James have crafted a core sound that is simultaneously musical yet blisteringly fierce. Their technical thrash/hardcore hybrid and seemingly endless amounts of energy produce the chaotic live performances they have become known for.
Now in 2008, Papercity Skyline are showing great growth and versatility. With the recent additions of Jerry Reynolds on vocals and Jonny Lynch on bass, the band are crafting songs that are more melodic and carry a wider appeal. This is not to say that they have softened and let up on their metal influences; quite the opposite is true. The newly refined sound is not only more dynamic but is the most furious Papercity Skyline has ever achieved. Soaring melodies collide with passionate screams and chanting singalongs while the music leads the listener through a variety of anthemic metal and rock passages.
With a recorded effort in the works and a captivating live show, Papercity Skyline is creating an undeniable noise throughout the region.
