My name is Kathryn Flocken and I am a professional Silhouette Artist. I have been making hand-cut Silhouette portraits since 1989, and have worked throughout Central Florida's major theme parks. I travel all over the country cutting Silhouettes at special events, and have also been featured cutting Silhouettes on CBS Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood.

You can mail order Silhouettes from a photo like this. This is also a PERFECT example of a right profile photo. Make sure the nose is pointing this way ----> just like the photo above. Be sure to show ALL of the head, ALL of the hair, and NO smiles! A plain background like this is a plus!

Not much space is needed for Silhouettes at your special event. Tech requirements are surprisingly simple! I just need a small draped table, two chairs of the same height, and a light (or ambient light) to work by.

Thanks Kathryn, yeah it's already private. It was before too.. but I made the mistake of adding someone I shouldn't have... lol. Live & learn I guess! Not sure if you remember who I am or not... but I posted somewhere in your comments a while back the pic of the silhouettes you made of my three girls that I had professionally framed. It looked AMAZING & I get sooo many compliments on it. I'm hoping we can get back to Disney soon with all the girls & get some more silhouettes done! You are just so talented. What you do is very interesting. Who am I? The girl at HCC who had her mom with her and asked if you had a "myspace"... My mom and I were very happy with our portrait. We were both amazed by your talent. It's incredible how in just seconds, you have a picture of us.
We met during the event at Valencia last year. You meet hundreds of people when you do gigs, so there is no way you can remember me. It was way easier for me:) - you were the only person doing Silhouettes, so I stopped by to say hello.

I recently had a woman do mine at Disneyland, but she made my friend and I look like we were eight years old. A few years back a different woman did it and it was ok. Yours are amazing. You capture the person, and not just an idea that it is them. It actually looks like them. Great work! I will be sending you something soon.
