The biggest thing right now is that I'm engaged and we just bought a house. You can read details in my blog. Needless to say, I'm super busy and uber broke.
I signed up with Big Brothers, Big Sisters to become a Big Sister back in May. They said it could take up to 6 months to get through the process and match me up with a little boy or girl. So far it's been around 5 months, so I should be getting a call from them any day now. I'm also trying to do some work with Habitat for Humanity, but I have been having trouble getting a response back from them. Hopefully I'll be able to get started on that soon. Oh, and I'm trying to do the "green" thing. It's hard, but definitely worth the effort. Also, I'm pretty crafty. I love to scrapbook whenever I have time and I'm trying to learn how to use a sewing machine. I bought some patterns for some cute dresses, but I still need to go buy the fabric.
Other tidbits: I'm kinda old-fashioned about somethings & totally liberal on others. I want to eventually be a stay-at-home mom with the house and do the whole suburban thing. I want everyone to have equal rights, which means i don't see what the big freakin' deal is about same-sex couples getting married. Why should anyone care who anyone else is sleeping with, as long as it's not your significant other? I'm very sarcastic and have a strong thirst for knowledge. I read everything and watch all the shows about how the Earth was created, the history of the Bible, UFOs, human behavior, etc.
I made a bucket list, so if anyone is interested in helping me knock some things off, send me a message.
