Since forming in Portland, Oregon, Papillon has passed through several musical metamorphoses before arriving at its current stage. Complete with sultry vocals, vintage keyboards, fuzz guitars, and hypnotic rhythms, the band has secured their own sound rooted in vintage psych-pop, euro-soundtracks, electronica. After relocating to Los Angeles, the band has been steadily performing live and recording new material for their forthcoming album. Papillon has recorded with producers, Simon Widdowson (The Decemberists, Pete Krebs) Tony Lash (The Dandy Warhols, Tahiti 80) and they are currently in the studio with LA based songwriter/producer, Luther Russell. Their song "Patterns on Your Fingertips," featuring the voice of Liz Brown, has been heard on Showtime's dramatic series, "The L Word", and most recently on ABC's "What About Brian". "Almost Like Being There" and "Les Cannibales" is featured in The Suicide Girls' DVD, "Italian Villa". All three songs appear together as an EP, available through CDbaby.com and Apple iTunes.
