  • Bio

Since forming in Portland, Oregon, Papillon has passed through several musical metamorphoses before arriving at its current stage. Complete with sultry vocals, vintage electronics, fuzz guitars, and hypnotic rhythms, the band has secured their own sound rooted in psychadelic rock, euro-soundtracks, and pop. After successful shows around Los Angeles, London and Paris, the band is set to release their long awaited full lengh album, entitled "All Day Tomorrow". Papillon has recorded with producers, Simon Widdowson (The Decemberists, Pete Krebs) Tony Lash (The Dandy Warhols, Tahiti 80). Their song "Patterns on Your Fingertips," featuring the voice of Liz Brown, has been heard on Showtime's dramatic series, "The L Word", ABC's "What About Brian". "Almost Like Being There" and "Les Cannibales" is featured in The Suicide Girls' DVD, "Italian Villa". All three songs appear together as an EP, available through CDbaby.com and Apple iTunes. ..
