One of most well-known russian dark-stage bands, para bellvm is actually the pioneer of the gothic wave in St.Petersburg. Had been created in 1997, it was reorganized twice, in 2001 and 2007, appeared every time with new musicians and conception. It was an evolution from pop- and metal sound to indi- and industrial one with big influence of gothic style music as Bauhaus and Birthday Party. Three albums were released as well as soundtrack for old russian silent film "Life For Life" as an art-project. para bellvm gave songs to numberable compilations, such as "Colours Of Black. Russian Dark Stage Compilation" (Shadowplay Records) and "Russian Existance. Tribute to Projekt Pitchfork" (Q-Code Records), which deserved good reviews from russian and foreign critics. para bellvm was able to create it's own world of russian gothic, uncommon and far from music stamps, and this feature was noted by journalists of Rolling Stone Russia and FUZZ magazines.

During last seven years the band have organized the annual dark-stage festival "Radio Inferno", on which many russian and foreign bands have played. para bellvm members are also known as the propagandists of dark- stage- they organized russian shows for such bands as VNV Nation, Deine Lakaien, Melotron, Inkubus Sukkubus etc.
The band also performed at different festivals like SKIF, Radio Inferno, Schwarzes Dresden, and played with such bands as Marky Ramone & The Intruders, To/Die/For, Lake Of Tears, The 69 Eyes and others.
After releasing the last album the first european tour took place in autumn 2008. Together with the german band Expretus para bellvm played in Germany, Check Rep., Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Finland and successfully finished the tour in Russia.
Public-opinion poll revealed that para bellvm is considered one of the most interesting bands from St.Petersburg.
