Eternal Issues:
Most people will agree that we are eternal souls in temporary bodies. The vast majority of the world’s population agrees that there is life after this earthly existence. Why is it then, that most of us spend the bulk of our time pursuing temporary riches and status on this earth, and spend so little time on our eternal destiny? Do you have trouble with any of the following statements?
God created us and everything around us.
We chose/choose to sin and have all sinned.
God can't have sin in His presence, no matter the size or type.
God sent Jesus to pay for our sin and restore us to relationship with Him if only we will accept the Gift.
We cannot earn our way to heaven no matter how good we think we are.
Satan is real and wants to destroy us by seperating us from God.
God wrote a Book about all of these things called The Bible.
If you have allowed the culture to water down any of these truths in your heart and mind, you are in eternal danger. The excuses for not turning to Jesus for salvation are innumerable, but usually boil down to one thing… pride. We typically like to formulate our own plans and fashion a god that we can live with. Do you like your eternity plan well enough to bet your soul on it? If not, turn to Jesus today, find a Bible-based church in your area and begin to debunk the lies in your heart and mind.
