Friends, brothers, and students from Biola University in Southern California, Parachute Passing is a group of musicians who exist for the sole purpose of extolling the Creator God and King. Professionally, the band delivers a unique quality and ethic that has allowed them to perform with such artists and speakers as Charlie Hall, MercyMe, Aaron Shust, Francis Chan, and Todd Proctor.
Their funk-folk-pop-rock style seeks to engage a cross-cultural community marked by an intense longing for purpose and truth. With influences ranging from Chris Tomlin and David Crowder to Stevie Wonder and U2, the band’s alternative sound mixes today’s modern worship tunes with fresh arrangements of ageless hymns and original songs that speak into the culture in a unique, honest, and powerful way.
Musically the band blends both modern and classic elements to lay a distinctive backdrop for their message. With instruments ranging from Hammond organs, banjos, xylophones, microsynths, violins, and techno beats, Parachute Passing brings an energy-driven live worship experience unlike anything you’ve heard before.
