It all Started June 28th 1989 when I got the chance to meet my Guitar Slingin' Hero, Jason Becker.....After 20 years. Together, Paradise Guitars, Jason Becker and I have made that crazy Guitar a reality. when so many others dropped the ball.
I received mine today #15, as I paced the floors awaiting Mr. UPS Man.
I could not wait to open it. but since we now live in Minneartica I waited till' it had been room temperature for a while. seriously I felt like sneaking a peek at X mas time. I just had to wait. changing extreme temperatures can be harmful to Guitars.
I can't believe that this is no longer just a dream for all of us. This Guitar has been long over due to Jason, and what more deserving of a human being than the best Guitarist, musician, composer, and amazing person.
for those of you that are unfamiliar with Jason Becker....? get out from under that rock Jason's Music and story is one that is nothing short of awe inspiring.
so, I teamed up with Paradise Guitars USA and after building a great friendship with Stuart Reiss and Tommy G. (Giannandrea) I asked them if they would be interested in making a Jason Becker Model? there was so much silence I could almost hear Tommy swallow his tongue. and I got a quick reply. and a year into hard research, work and determination between all of us. I won't get started on how much sleep we all lost. and many late night phone calls. between Tommy G. and I, just being Guitar Nerds.
it's a dream come true...!
This Guitar is Amazing, I can't say enough about it. seriously you'll have to see one yourself! that craftsmanship that went into this guitar is flawless.
and took many hours of work and close attention to detail.
Tommy and Stuart paid attention to everything, Wow!
what a cooler thing to be able to be a part of making a Signature Guitar for your Hero (Jason has a blue suit with a "S" on it, hidden somewhere...?)
and is a HUGE part of my life, and always will.
