Paradise is a seven piece, San Diego based band, that blends elements of Afro-Cuban rhythms, with rock, jazz, funk, R&B and Latin music idioms to create a sound all their own. The music of Paradise has spanned two decades since it’s formation in 1991. From their humble beginnings playing the club circuit in San Diego, to opening for The Santana Band, Paradise continues their legacy of electrifying performances.
Each member of Paradise brings their own diverse musical background and years of musicianship to the band. Starting with the founder and heart-beat of the group Patrick Cruz, whose vision was to create a sound that was unique and uplifting. The Paradise sound is a soul-stirring celebration of life, spirit, brotherhood and diversity
The Paradise song catalog includes original material, as well as “cover songs” from such diverse influences as James Brown, Santana, WAR, 70’s funk, jazz standards, to current groups like Los Lonely Boys.
