With roaring guitar riffs and contagious vocal hooks, Parallel’s songs explode from the speakers with a sound reminiscent of the alt-rock glory days of the mid-nineties. The variety of influences is evident, as screaming power chords share equal album time with moving, poignant ballads. The result is a refreshingly honest brand of music that’s easy to listen to and almost impossible to remove from a playlist.
The five-member band has rocked over 600 venues across the country, including CBGB in New York City and the Hard Rock Café in Fort Lauderdale, as well as festivals such as Food Lion’s Speed Street and the Continental Tire Bowl. Their debut album, Black Dress, is receiving radio and internet airplay in both North America and Europe. The title track was mixed by famed producer John Kurzweg, who has also worked with artists Puddle of Mudd, Creed, and Jewel. The single was featured by Speed TV as the theme for their NASCAR Trackside program.
